John Kelley, CBSE, FMP, SFP, LLS-GB
With more than three decades of professional facilities services experience, John heads the Global Janitorial SME support for JLL’s Workplace Management. The Global Janitorial SME team supports all JLL service lines, set and drive the firm’s standards for janitorial, and support JLL’s further growth and innovation in the marketplace.
John has 24 years of facilities services experience as an SVP for Varsity Facility Services focused on sales, operations, and client support. John transitioned to the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) space, where he has focused the last 9 years on strategic sourcing, category management, and he is currently the global SME for soft services for 2 billion square feet of commercial property with the majority of the fortune 500 as clients globally for JLL. John supports solution development, account renewals, product/program development, technology, innovation review, technology review and implementation, operational support, and general education on all things janitorial for JLL’s employees, clients, and supplier partners on expectations, standards, and best practices. John has also published multiple articles including; a 2022 article with Facility Executive and articles in May and June of 2023 with FMJ and Facility Executive.
Originally from Lexington, KY (Go Cats), John grew up in the Big Blue Nation. He earned an associate degree in Information Management and Accounting from Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Kentucky. John has completed the BSCIA’s RBSM and currently holds the CBSE certification (Certified Building Service Executive) as well as a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and a GBAC certification (ISSA Global Biorisk Advisory Council) and most recently earned his FMP & SFP certifications through IFMA. John also sets on a Global Sustainability Leadership Council and a BSC Council at ISSA. John has volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America (Charter Executive, Committee Chairman, Merit Badge counselor, and Wood Badge leadership training) and Helping Hands (disaster relief support), Habitat for Humanity (Atlanta) and he is active in his church where he has held several volunteer leadership positions.
