Dan Cline, CBSE

Dan Cline is a veteran team leader with over 32 years of executive experience in the building services industry, including company ownership. After eight years running his Kansas City-based building services company, he sold it to 4M Building Solutions in 2001, joined the executive team, and held VP-level roles before being named Chief Operating Officer in January 2025. As COO, Dan oversees 4M’s four divisions across 27 states, leads the Operational Support Teams (OST), and manages client relationships with vendor and distribution partners. Focused on growth and operational excellence, he implements initiatives that enhance service delivery and performance across the company’s footprint. Dan’s success is built on leadership, painting a clear vision, mapping the path forward, and supporting his team to excel. In addition to BSCAI, Dan is active in BOMA, IFMA, and ISSA. He also values family and leisure on the water. Married to Trish since 1995, they have two adult children: Josh, a gym owner and trainer in Kansas City, and Karlee, a dancer, choreographer, and teacher, also in KC. Dan enjoys offshore fishing and boating in his free time.
